This picture is actually representational of anywhere in
Thailand. There are monkeys all over and they are as curious as you
would expect from reading the The Complete Adventures of Curious
George. This one in particular was attracted to our pickup truck
by the sight and sound of a colorful plastic bag being crumpled.
Probably a bi-effect of having unsuspecting tourist feeding them.
The monkeys are not friendly at all. I've heard of stories of people
being chased by them and my brother in law was bit by one a few years
back. With this in mind and the knowledge that the canines of a dog
look like molars compared to the canines of this monkey makes me have
great respect for these highly curious creatures. (And that is besides
my respect for their climbing ability)
