Prickly Friend

No it is not an alien! It is an enormous bright blue scorpion. This was probably one of the most fascinating creatures of the trek. From tail to pincher at least 6 inches long and as bright as it is supposed to be poisonous. "You don't die but suffer a fever for a couple of weeks" if stung - That is what our guide told us just before picking it up for dramatic effect.
